The corporation of a non-profit, publicly supported, non-facility, humane society/organization founded to prevent the over breeding of cats and dogs by providing educational materials and programs, and financial assistance to pet guardians/owners for the purpose of spaying or neutering their pets in order to prevent the births of unwanted animals and their eventual suffering.

If you want to build a ship, don't herd people together to collect wood and don't assign them tasks and work, but rather teach them to long for the endless immensity of the sea.
- Antoine de Saint-Exupery

ARF has and will continue to:

  • Create and distribute spay/neuter and humane education materials
  • Implement programs encouraging spaying and neutering as well as other aspects of humane animal care
  • Devise and maintain a pet referral service
  • Gather statistical information for use by local officials and media to better inform the public on the pet overpopulation crisis and other animal related issues.
  • Public bulletin boards display free information on how to be a responsible pet guardian.

The above objectives are in addition to the three main goals of ARF:

  • Provide financial assistance for spay or neuter surgeries (The Brandy Fund)
  • Instil kindness and compassion in children and adults whether it be towards animals, other people or our surroundings (The Paws Cause)
  • Provide networking and counseling services on how can we help you keep your pet? and/or which pet is best for you and your family? (Referral Service)
